Settings cranked to their maximum and all safeties off, Kory is going for a tougher workout than usual.

Ducking the beams, and flying over obstacles, she moves with cat-like precision. One emitter down...

Two emitters down...

Dodge the incoming fire from the third, and whirl around to clobber the combat robot. The Starbolt sends it flying to crumple into a heap at the other end of the room.

He nods. He doesn't always seem like he's paying attention, but he picks out the important details, most of the time.

"Why do you two dislike each other so much?"

"She is the elder. By tradition, she should have been the Crown Princess. However, she lacked the ability to fly. Such things are...looked down upon by my people, the way humans look at those who cannot walk."

She takes a towel from the rack and wipes her brow. "My parents - X'hal rest them - appointed me to be the heir and not her. She has never forgiven it. The wound was early, and she has let it fester, destroying all that is good within her."

"So you don't think there's any chance she could turn good? One of Max's oldest enemies actually turned out to be a decent guy, once he had a couple decades to mellow out.."

"Considering she betrayed the whole of Tamaran to the Citadel, and had me placed in chains to be used as a whipping-toy and whore for their masters? She has violated every law of kin-bond."

He finishes off the milkshake as he listen, nodding.

"So on Tamaran, I guess she'd have been put to death, right?"

"Yes. Quickly."

She looks up for a moment, like she is trying to think. Words do not come easily to her when it comes to her prodigal sister.

"We have been in combat many times against each other. She wishes me dead, and will give no quarter when we fight. I must be willing to do the same - to end her life with my hand. She has always managed to escape our earlier battles, however, and be free to cause more damage."

That doesn't seem to sit well with the optimistic young Titan.

"Well, maybe she deserves it for what she's done, but.. if she's dead, she can't ever regret what she's done. I don't think I'd make a good Tamaranean."

Kory stretches. "Well, after such a workout, I'm quite hungry. Let's so see what is in the kitchen."
